OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Laura has three older brothers, an identical twin sister, and another sister who was born just eleven months later. Growing up in a big family is a gift. She never had to face life’s struggles without someone there to lend guidance, help, or just a loving embrace. Family has always been the most important thing in her life. Her parents live less than a mile away. Two of her brothers also live close by, and her sisters live in San Diego just an hour away. Laura has ten nieces and nephews around Hudson's age.
Matt’s parents and brother live in Arizona, but that doesn’t stop them from visiting whenever possible. We frequently travel to the desert for visits, which often feels like we’re on a movie set. They often FaceTime and talk on the phone as well, so they remain very close. His brother, Ryan, has a family with two kids around Hudson's age.
We are blessed to have a large extended family. It seems like it’s always someone’s birthday or there’s holiday to celebrate! Our get-togethers are full of laughs, board games, and our son’s 12 cousins running in different directions. Before long, we’re playing a game of touch football in the backyard. It’s exhilarating and exhausting, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
